Eleventh Annual SMARTSVILLE & TIMBUCTOO PIONEER DAY The BEST SMALL TOWN GOLD RUSH FESTIVAL IN CALIFORNIA is coming soon! A local tradition in the style of a hometown, family-oriented, community celebration. Saturday April 28, 2018 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.]

 You are invited to submit an application for space at the 11th Annual Smartsville & Timbuctoo Pioneer Day.  We have a limited number of spaces available, so return your application right away to insure consideration.  We strive to maintain variety and quality and may limit the number of each type of craft or product. We prefer handmade arts and crafts made by the seller and locally grown and produced food products - other products may be considered.

Smartsville & Timbuctoo Pioneer Day is a gold rush festival in Yuba County, attracting thousands of people each year. The festival is held on Main Street in the Historic District of Smartsville. Pioneer Day is under the management and leadership of the Smartsville Church Restoration Fund Festival Committee.

REGISTRATION FEES: Arts and craft exhibitors’ fee is $35.00.  Non-profit organization fee is gratis for display only and $35.00 if items are sold.  A limited number of deeper spaces are available at an extra charge. If you are interested, please indicate on your registration form.  

INFORMATION:  There will be an Information Booth located on Smartsville Road at both entrances to the festival grounds.  Smartsville is a hill town so there are no level spaces.  We do not supply electricity although quiet generators are permitted in certain areas.  Water is limited and must be carried to the booth.

ARRIVAL: YOU MUST stop at one of the information booths Saturday morning to pick up your information packet and be directed to your booth space.

SET UP & TAKE DOWN: All exhibitors/vendors will set up on assigned spaces approximately 12’ deep X 12’ wide in spaces as marked on the street.  You must furnish your own equipment...sun shades, covered tables, chairs, stands, etc.  You may begin setting up after 5:30 a.m. and must be completely set up by 9 a.m.  Smartsville Road will be closed to traffic promptly at 8:30 a.m. and reopen at 4 p.m.  All vehicles except event vehicles must be off the street between those times.

 **IMPORTANT**  No vehicles will be allowed in the festival area after 9 a.m. and before 4 p.m.  If you sell out, we prefer that you stay and enjoy the festival.  If you must leave, you will have to hand carry your items out of the festival area.

PHOTOS:  Please send 3 photos; one of your booth, one of your product and one of your workshop area showing work in progress of your item(s).  Photos may be used on our website and social media or program to list your participation in the festival.  Photos may be sent digitally.  NOTE: Photos will not be returned.

DRESS CODE: Regular clothing is acceptable, but we do hope you will choose to dress in gold rush attire.

DECORATION PRIZES:  Special prizes will be awarded for the 3 best booths.  They will be judged on gold rush era theme, decoration and creativity.

NOT PERMITTED: (1) “Passing the hat,” and soliciting and/or raffling are not permitted, except by SCRFI.  (2) Arts and Crafts Booths may NOT sell food. (3) Beverages are to be sold ONLY by food booths.

REFUNDS: Refunds will be given for withdrawal requests received by March 31, 2018, with a $20.00 handling fee deducted.  NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER March 31, 2018.

Pioneer Day is scheduled RAIN OR SHINE so bring proper covering to protect your items in case of a shower. Be prepared to cover up and wait for the shower to end. THERE IS NO RAIN DATE FOR THE FESTIVAL.
